Reversing or correcting the results of previous cosmetic treatments
Overview
Reversing or correcting the results of previous cosmetic treatments
It is not uncommon to seek a second opinion on a cosmetic treatment that has not delivered the result you were hoping for. Whether the previous filler was placed too superficially, the volume is excessive, the product has migrated, or you simply want to return to your natural starting point, corrective options exist.
At Maison Restorative we offer hyaluronidase (Hyalase) injection to dissolve unwanted hyaluronic acid dermal filler. The treatment works quickly and is highly effective in the hands of an experienced practitioner. Treatment is preceded by a careful consultation to understand what was previously injected, why the result is unsatisfactory, and what the realistic outcome of correction will be.
Our team takes a careful, considered approach to corrective work. The aim is always to restore a natural, balanced appearance, whether that involves complete reversal or a more nuanced refinement.

FAQs
Frequently asked questions
How does Hyalase work?
Hyalase contains the enzyme hyaluronidase, which breaks down hyaluronic acid filler so the body can absorb it. The treatment works quickly, with most of the filler dissolved within 24 to 48 hours.
Can all types of filler be dissolved?
Hyalase only dissolves hyaluronic acid-based fillers, which fortunately includes most modern dermal fillers. Other product types such as collagen stimulators, calcium hydroxylapatite or permanent fillers cannot be reversed in this way.
Is there any risk?
A small number of people are sensitive to hyaluronidase, so a patch test is sometimes performed beforehand. Your practitioner will discuss any specific considerations at consultation.
Can you dissolve lip or facial filler?
Yes. Hyalase dissolves hyaluronic acid filler in the lips and face, whether the result is over-filled, lumpy, asymmetric or has migrated from the original site. It works quickly, with most of the filler broken down within 24 to 48 hours, after which any further treatment can be planned.
How much does filler dissolving cost?
Pricing depends on the amount of filler and areas being treated and is confirmed in writing at your consultation, with no obligation to proceed.
