What is a HydraFacial?
HydraFacial is a medical-grade facial treatment that combines deep cleansing, exfoliation, painless extraction and the infusion of high-quality serums in a single session. Unlike a standard facial, every step uses patented vortex technology to draw out impurities while simultaneously delivering antioxidants and hyaluronic acid into the skin.
The treatment is suitable for all skin types and addresses a wide range of concerns including congestion, enlarged pores, dull skin, mild acne, pigmentation and fine lines. Red and blue LED light therapy is incorporated to soothe redness, reduce bacteria and stimulate collagen. Results are visible immediately, with continued improvement in skin health over a course of regular treatments.
At Maison Restorative, HydraFacial is available in three levels. The Deluxe takes around 45 minutes and treats the face and neck with a deep cleanse and exfoliation, a gentle acid peel to loosen dirt and debris, painless automated extractions, an infusion of antioxidants and hyaluronic acid, and red and blue LED light therapy. The Platinum takes around an hour and adds a detoxifying lymphatic drainage massage at the start and your choice of Enhancement Booster to target a specific concern. The Platinum Plus takes around 75 minutes and extends the treatment to the face, neck and décolleté, using two boosters: an Enhancement Booster for the face plus a dedicated Neck and Décolleté Booster powered by Epicutis, a results-oriented skincare range that visibly smooths and revitalises the chest and neckline.
Enhancement Boosters are medical-grade and let your practitioner tailor the Platinum and Platinum Plus treatments towards a brightening, firming, hydrating, smoothing or calming result. Treatments are carried out by our nurse practitioner, and you can book either a complimentary consultation to discuss which facial would suit you best, or a see and treat appointment.

Your practitioner assesses your skin type and concerns, recommends the appropriate HydraFacial level and selects any enhancement boosters to target your specific goals.

Treatment
The five-step protocol is delivered in sequence: cleansing, gentle acid exfoliation, vortex extraction, serum infusion and LED light therapy, with each step building on the last.

Aftercare
There is no downtime and your skin will look refreshed immediately; your practitioner will advise on the frequency of repeat sessions to maintain and build on your results.
There is no downtime and you can return to your day immediately. Your skin may look slightly pink for a short while and will feel clean and hydrated. Where possible, leave make-up off for the rest of the day so the infused serums are not wiped away, and keep your routine gentle for the first 24 hours. Leave exfoliating acids, retinoids, scrubs and other active ingredients out until the following day or two. Avoid saunas, steam rooms, hot baths, swimming pools and strenuous exercise for 24 hours, and apply a daily broad-spectrum SPF. If your skin was congested, a few spots may come to the surface over the following days as clearing continues, which is normal and settles. Results are visible immediately but are also cumulative, so regular sessions at the interval your practitioner recommends will maintain and build on the effect.

The Platinum Plus takes around 75 minutes and treats the face, neck and décolleté using two boosters, one for the face and a dedicated Neck and Décolleté Booster powered by Epicutis. Your practitioner will recommend the most appropriate option at your appointment.
Is there anything I need to do before my HydraFacial?
Yes, two things. We need to check that you are not allergic to honey, shellfish or aspirin, as these are relevant to the ingredients used during the treatment. If you use a product containing Retin-A or any other medication in the retinol family, you will need to stop it for five days before your appointment and for two days afterwards. Your practitioner will go through both points with you when you book.
Who carries out the treatment?
HydraFacial is carried out by our nurse practitioner. You can book either a complimentary consultation, where we assess your skin and put together a treatment plan, or a see and treat appointment if you already know which level you would like.
Is there any downtime?
No. HydraFacial has no downtime and most patients return to their usual routine immediately. It is a popular treatment before special events precisely because of the instant glow it delivers.
How often should I have HydraFacial?
Regular sessions, typically monthly, progressively improve skin health over time. For acne-prone skin, more frequent Signature HydraFacial sessions may be recommended by your practitioner.
Is it suitable for sensitive skin?
Yes. HydraFacial is gentle enough for sensitive skin types. The extraction step is painless, and your practitioner can adjust the treatment parameters to suit your skin's needs.
